Made to grow.
Our design approach allows for collaboration.
To ensure that we are listening to the goals of the client, the design process is broken into several phases. We work with clients to educate and inform about Colorado native plants and establishing landscapes. This approach allows us to stay on the same page throughout the design process.
Initial Meeting
After you contact us, we schedule an onsite consultation or garden coaching session. This is how we can better assess your needs.
Consultations: We walk through the landscape (new or existing) and discuss landscape goals and trouble areas. We will offer some suggestions for the landscape and the possibility in the areas. Sometimes this will lead into a landscape design.
Garden Coaching: We walk around the existing garden to discuss plant maintenance. We provide a general garden education to help explain composting, soil improvement, irrigation, and mulch.
*$80/hr consultation or garden coaching fee with 1 hour minimum for service area
Design Proposal
Approximate time // 1-2 weeks
We generate a custom design proposal based on the consultation or design meeting and area for landscape design. Every property is unique and have different needs, so we assess those goals and hopes and craft a design proposal to cater your budget. We provide information for the design process.
Design Begins
Approximate time // 3-5 weeks
After your approval of the design proposal, we get to work. We start with an Initial Design that captures all the details from the onsite consultation.
As we continue through the design process, details become solidified through the Working Revision. We have several check-ins with you throughout the design process so we can make sure we remain on the same page.
The design process is to be enjoyable and pleasurable as we create your new or updated landscape.
Finalization
We design with the catalogs from local nurseries. Once we have created a final planting design, we generate a list of plants used in the design to be sourced by you from the many wonderful greenhouses and nurseries on the Front Range. This allows you a variety of options for plants in your new landscape.
